ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for full-stack .Net developers to build and deploy business solutions on the OneStream XF platform. OneStream is the world’s fastest growing fully integrated Corporate Performance Management (CPM) system and Ascend is one of the world’s most experienced and highly regarded OneStream partners. Join our team of experts and help us deliver OneStream-powered solutions for complex financial consolidation, BI reporting, and budget & forecasting projects.


The OneStream Platform operates on a 100% Microsoft-based stack. A full (though not always documented!) API is exposed, allowing you to create highly customized automated solutions using VB.Net and SQL. Experience with data integration using SQL and REST interfaces is an asset, as we build connectors to any and all types of source systems.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively contribute as part of the technical team to design develop, implement, and maintain scalable applications and/or features.
  • Facilitate architecture/design and code reviews, bug/defect triage, and support well-informed decisions towards business and client implementation goals.
  • Proactively contribute to debugging, troubleshooting, identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address them.
  • Assume/Initiate ownership without assignment.
  • Continually drive to understanding the value created for the customer vs. just implementing the feature or solution.
  • Interact with the client, development/functional lead, implementation team to understand and validate, business requirements.
  • Follow and adhere to Ascend Partners and OneStream coding standards and coding patterns.
  • Mentor newer team members and proactively help with knowledge transfer.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and product quality by recommending solutions.
  • Work closely with client, development/functional lead, implementation team to ensure successful implementation of features.
  • Understand and adhere to industry best practices and constantly foster a culture of delivering quality software in a timely manner while continuously improving the development process.
  • Readily present and explain technical concepts to peers and other teams.
  • Must be willing to travel and work in various business locations or remotely as applicable.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Formal Education and Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.


Knowledge and Experience

  • 2+ years programming experience.
  • Recent Microsoft technology focus (.Net, SQL, Azure)
  • Experience with some or most of the following technologies: Microsoft Visual Studio and the .NET Framework
  • Specific technologies include C#, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Web Services, WCF, WPF, Silverlight, XAML, XML, MVC, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Skill for writing reusable libraries
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Development Methodologies
  • Ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions.

Functional Lead, EPM/CPM Solutions

We are looking for an EPM/CPM Functional Lead to build, test, and deploy business solutions on the OneStream XF platform for high-end client implementation projects. The Functional Lead is responsible for providing solutions by working with clients to develop applications primarily for financial consolidation, along with reporting and budget & forecasting. Specifically, you will be working with a finance team, senior management, and IT to implement the highest quality solution for our clients.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Functional Lead, EPM/CPM Solutions, typically works together with client resources and frequently with a team of other employees or consultants to implement complex web-based Business Performance Management solutions.
  • Confer with clients to identify, analyze, and document requirements.
  • Conduct business studies, redesign processes, design/develop and implement business processes and solutions.
  • Perform application/system design and documentation.
  • Develop and build application/system.
  • Supervise and support team members during application/system design, development, and build.
  • Provide training, and ongoing support to our client personnel.
  • Must be willing to travel and work in various business locations or remotely as applicable


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Formal Education and Certification

  • University degree in fields such as (but not limited to) Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Computer Science


Knowledge and Experience

  • A strong Accounting and Systems background with substantial experience working in finance organizations.
  • A solid understanding of the nature of work performed by financial analysts, controllers, finance directors, and CFOs.
  • 2+ years of EPM/CPM project implementation experience with OneStream XF or Oracle Hyperion Computer Applications (HFM, FDM, Hyperion Planning).
  • Fully competent within IT and EPM Architecture with strong Accounting background (Financial Consolidation /Financial Planning & Analysis).
  • Data manipulation skills using Excel, SQL and Visual Basic.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office and data modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with structured project management and/or software package implementation process.


Other Desired Experience

  • A professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGA, CA), advanced degrees (MBA, MFA), and/or other professional designations or certifications (applicable to accounting/finance and information technology)

Project Manager, EPM/CPM Projects

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Project Manager to lead and manage small, medium, and large EPM/CPM implementation projects for the OneStream XF Platform. OneStream is the world’s fastest growing fully integrated Corporate Performance Management (CPM) system and Ascend Partners Inc. is one of the world’s most experienced and highly regarded OneStream partners. Join our team of experts and contribute to the business success of Ascend Partners and our clients by delivering OneStream XF powered solutions for complex financial consolidation, financial reporting analysis and budget & forecasting projects.


The Project Manager is responsible for project planning, estimations, resource management and will ensure a successful and on-time project delivery. The PM also contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead teams through all phases and activities of the project life-cycle process associated with client’s mission critical EPM/CPM implementation projects.
  • Manage multiple complex project initiatives that span one or more technologies.
  • Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Support and develop trusted adviser relationships with executive leadership team.
  • Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
  • Provides status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
  • May lead business requirement elaboration sessions to thoroughly document business capabilities needed.
  • May lead technical teams' discussions to translate business requirements into system requirement definition.
  • Must be willing to travel and work in various business locations or remotely as applicable.


DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Formal Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology or similar.


Knowledge and Experience

  • IT Project Management experience, managing multiple concurrent EPM/CPM projects
  • 5+ years of relevant project management experience
  • Working knowledge of PMO governance
  • IT Change Management process experience
  • Solutions-oriented approach to solving complex problems and challenges.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable and flexible in complex situations with ability to navigate through conflict with positive outcomes.
  • Experience with project delivery methodologies (including Waterfall and Agile)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Strong experience presenting to project sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
