We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage small, medium, and large implementation projects for the OneStream Platform. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for establishing the project scope, planning, estimations, resource management and status reporting as well as ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. The Senior Project Manager also takes a lead role in process improvement initiatives related to improving project delivery. As a senior member of the Ascend team, this individual will also invest time and effort into providing mentoring, coaching and growth opportunities to help junior employees realize their potential.
Position Responsibilities
Supervision and Oversight of Project
- Lead teams through all phases and activities of the project lifecycle associated with client’s mission critical EPM/CPM implementation projects
- Manage multiple complex projects that may span one or more technologies
- Provide leadership to the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and milestones
- Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
- Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across the Senior Leadership Team (SLT)
- Manage interdependencies between the project’s technology, operations, and business needs
- Lead project teams in sessions to establish and document aspects of the implementation including requirements, design, testing, training, deployment, and support as required
- Maintain subject matter expertise on the Company’s products and services
- Manage projects to deliver on time and within budget
- Review for opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency throughout the project management process
- Identify potential business opportunities with assigned clients
Liaising with Clients and Project Team
- Build relationships with clients to ensure efficient and effective communications for the project
- Manage relations within the combined project team to ensure a smooth and successful delivery
- Ensure project team members have appropriate training, skills, and the necessary support to complete the project as well as coaching the team in successful delivery approaches
- Meet with Clients, Project Teams and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) routinely to provide updates on the status of the projects and to notify them of obstacles and changes in timelines or budgets
- Liaise between Clients, Project Team and SLT to communicate changes in the scope of the project, discussing implications on the schedule and budget, and substantiating the case for such changes
- Ensure project schedule is clearly communicated to all parties
- Travel and work from various business locations and remotely as applicable
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementation of OneStream XF or Oracle Hyperion Computer applications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in finance organizations with a focus on accounting and systems
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with project management of the software package implementation process
- Professional Designation in Project Management
- Agile Scrum Master Certification
- A valid passport, driver’s license, and insurance is preferred
